Style by Toyo C: Crop Top X High Waisted Skirt – Altering the Peak-A-Boo Effect

Happy Monday Style Ravens, it’s Toyo C here.

Last week I introduced myself as a Lagos-based fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger. I recently partnered with StyleRave to share my fashion tips, style advice and a few beauty pointers with you all.

Today I’ll share just how to wear a crop top without actually revealing your belly. Let’s get into it!

Cut-outs and crop tops are definitely trends for the summer season. Shoulder cut-outs swept the Spring 2016 catwalks, making appearances at Derek Lam, Givenchy, Wes Gordon, Edem, Alessandra Rich and more. Cut-outs makes your outfit look edgy and adds a pop of fun. I personally cannot rock a crop top on its own (belly fat struggles LOL), so I always pair it with high-waisted bottoms. I paired my cut-out crop top with a high waisted pencil midi skirt with pleated trim and black heels. And of course, my signature makeup to complete the look.

Cut-outs allows you to show little glimpses of skin. Did you know that this trend is incredibly flattering for all women? Why? This is because every woman’s shoulders looks great. Do you agree?
