Oscar-winning actor Regina King’s fame was cemented in history on Thursday, October 28, when she placed her hand and footprints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre. King did a little dance as she stood barefoot in the wet cement, and etched “No place like home” under her name, the opening line of the theme song for “227,” the TV series from the late 1980s in which she first gained attention.

“This means so much,” King said during the ceremony. “A lot of people are going to see this and they’re going to think it comes from ‘The Wizard of Oz’, but it comes from my beginning.”

Congratulations to the star on her star!

4. Queen Elizabeth advised by doctors to rest for 2 weeks

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has been advised by her doctors to rest for at least the next two weeks, avoiding official visits and only undertaking light duties during this time, Buckingham Palace said on Friday, October 19. However, the world’s oldest and longest-reigning monarch, is determined to appear at the annual Remembrance Sunday service that commemorates the nation’s war dead in central London on November 14, the palace said.

Elizabeth, who is the queen of 15 other realms including Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, has been resting at her Windsor Castle since she stayed overnight in hospital last week after undergoing “preliminary investigations” for an unspecified ailment that is not related to COVID-19. The monarch had already pulled out of addressing world leaders in person next week at the COP26 climate change summit in Glasgow.

We wish the Queen speedy recovery.

5. Ighalo uncertain about possible Super Eagles return

The Al-Shabab striker announced his retirement from the national team in 2019 but coach Gernot Rohr wants him back. The 32-year-old has revealed that Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and NFF President Amaju Pinnick have contacted him regarding a possible return but he has not made up his mind. “They have been in contact with me about the possibility of coming back, Amaju and coach,” Ighalo told the media. “I don’t know.
