Makeup and hair can make or break your entire look so it only makes sense that your makeup and hairstyle should match your outfit and accessories. Last week, our favourite beauty looks were all intentional celebrity beauty looks and you’ll soon see why.
And by intentional, we mean that the beauty looks we fell in love with were well coordinated to match the outfit or costume, and this need not be said but: this is a foolproof way of looking splendid. Cordinating your makeup and hair with your outfit might look like an 80’s trend but it’s the one trick Hollywood celebrities and their makeup and hair artists have used to serve lewks for ages. When done right the end result is super hot, super creative and super pretty!
The first step to achieving a beauty look that matches your outfit is to pick a feature to enhance when doing your makeup. The feature can either be the eyes or lips and there you apply a matching colour to your outfit. You can also choose to apply the same colour on both features but on this route, you have to watch the dose of makeup and tread with caution as the result could be disastrous. On the hair angle, your hair should be slick and flat if the outfit is busy and bold and loose if the outfit is simple.
Enough said! We have rounded up our best beauty looks with the hope of helping you create a flawless coordinated look.

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa also made our best beauty looks with this editorial glam. Her go-to makeup artist, Anita Brows created an artistic polka dot face glam that went well with her white ensemble and pearl earrings; a match-made in fashion heaven!
Ghanaian actor Jackie Appiah was a pretty boss chick in this matchy pink lipstick that perfectly complemented her ensemble. She completed the look with gold round earrings resulting in a great look for nearly any event.
Beauty mogul Kim Kardashian wore a subtle glam with intense highlighing, contouring and flirty upper and lower lashes. Our best part is the dramatic updo hairstyle which perfectly complements her turtle neck top.
Ghanaian actor Yvonne Nelson graced our timeline last week with an all intentional nude-inspired face glam. Notice how she let her hair flow loose to contrast the simple makeup and plain blouse. Now that’s how you balance out a glam casual look.
Former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie was the ultimate classy chick in this black ensemble that created a balance on her beautiful skin. She wore a baby pink makeup look with a slicked bun hairstyle; a great overall look for the minimalist woman.
