1. Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton spark romance rumors

Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have sparked romance rumors after reports emerged that the two spent a secretive weekend together in the English countryside. According to The Sun and Daily Mail, the reality TV mogul, 45, and the Formula 1 champion, 41, enjoyed an intimate 24-hour stay at the ultra-luxurious Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds on February 1st and 2nd. The pair reportedly arrived separately, Kardashian via private jet into Oxford Airport and Hamilton by helicopter from London’s Battersea Heliport, before settling into the exclusive estate under tight security. Reports described the atmosphere as “very romantic,” with the duo allegedly sharing a suite, booking a couple’s massage, and dining privately, with the cost of their stay and amenities estimated to reach as much as £120,000.

Neither Kim Kardashian nor Lewis Hamilton addressed the reports publicly, but the discreet getaway has fueled speculation given their long-standing connection. The two have crossed paths for more than a decade, attending high-profile events together and maintaining ties with each other’s inner circles, including Kardashian’s family. Both also have well-documented romantic histories, with Kardashian previously linked to Pete Davidson and Odell Beckham Jr., and Hamilton famously dating Nicole Scherzinger and later being connected to several A-list stars. While representatives for both declined to comment, the covert Cotswolds retreat has reignited interest in whether the longtime friends may now be something more.

2. Yeni Kuti slams comparisons between Fela and today’s artists

Yeni Kuti, daughter of late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has pushed back against ongoing comparisons between her father and today’s music stars, calling the debates misplaced and disrespectful. Speaking during an interview with ARISE News shared on Monday, Yeni said Fela’s continued relevance nearly three decades after his death already speaks volumes about his impact, making modern-day rivalry narratives unnecessary. She urged both artists and fans to stop dragging cultural icons into comparisons and instead focus on peer-to-peer evaluations within the current music landscape.

“Don’t compare chalk and cheese. Fela is a legend. Give him his flowers,” Yeni said. “He’s done his own if you are still talking about him 29 years after his death… You are comparing yourself to someone who has been gone 29 years. It’s not a good thing.” Her comments come amid renewed conversations around Fela’s legacy following his historic recognition by the Recording Academy. The Afrobeat icon recently became the first African artist to receive a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, posthumously honored at the 2026 Special Merit Awards in Los Angeles on January 31, with the award accepted on his behalf by his children, including Yeni and Femi Kuti.

3. Trump threatens to sue Trevor Noah over Grammys joke

Donald Trump has threatened legal action against comedian Trevor Noah following a joke made during the 2026 Grammy Awards that referenced Jeffrey Epstein’s private island. Noah, who hosted the ceremony for the sixth and final time on February 1, quipped while presenting the Song of the Year award that it was something artists wanted “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” adding that with “Epstein’s island gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.” The remark drew laughter inside the venue but quickly sparked backlash from Trump, who took to Truth Social hours after the broadcast to deny ever visiting Epstein’s Caribbean island and to accuse Noah of making a “false and defamatory statement.”

In a series of posts, Trump called the Grammys “the WORST” and “virtually unwatchable,” celebrated Noah’s exit as host, and claimed he was considering sending lawyers after the comedian. “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight,” Trump wrote, adding that he planned to sue Noah for “plenty$.” Trump insisted he had “never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close,” while acknowledging he could not speak for Clinton, who has appeared in photos with Epstein but has denied any wrongdoing. Representatives for Noah did not immediately respond, and neither CBS nor the Recording Academy has publicly commented on Trump’s threats.

4. Snoop Dogg’s granddaughter dies at 10 months

Snoop Dogg’s family is mourning a devastating loss after his daughter, Cori Broadus, announced the death of her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux. Broadus shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, writing, “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi.” Her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, also paid tribute to their late daughter, posting a photo of himself holding the infant and writing, “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.” Codi, who was born extremely premature, passed away on January 26, just 20 days after being discharged from the hospital and brought home.

Broadus had been open about the challenges surrounding her pregnancy and her daughter’s fragile health. She announced her pregnancy in December 2024 and later revealed that Codi was born at six months following complications that included HELLP syndrome and an emergency C-section, spending most of her life in the neonatal intensive care unit. Throughout Codi’s NICU journey, Broadus shared candid updates, celebrating small milestones and expressing gratitude for the support she received from fans. Following the announcement of Codi’s death, Snoop Dogg shared a quiet message of support with a family photo. Meanwhile, other relatives, including Broadus’ brother Cordell, publicly offered their love and condolences as tributes poured in across social media.

5. South Africa set to replace Morocco as WAFCON hosts

South Africa is set to replace Morocco as hosts of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) following Morocco’s reported withdrawal just 60 days before the tournament’s scheduled kick-off. The development was confirmed on Sunday night by South Africa’s Deputy Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Peace Mabe, who announced that the handover had been finalized. The 2026 WAFCON is slated to run from March 17 to April 3, 2026, under a compressed timetable that follows the delayed 2024 edition. The tournament also serving as a key qualification pathway for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

Morocco’s sudden exit has come as a surprise, particularly after the country recently hosted the men’s Africa Cup of Nations, although no official reason has been provided by Moroccan authorities or the Confederation of African Football. South Africa now faces a tight window to prepare for the expanded 16-team tournament, but the nation brings recent experience, having staged and won WAFCON on home soil in 2022. With automatic World Cup qualification on the line for the four semi-finalists, the late switch in hosts adds fresh urgency to preparations as Africa’s flagship women’s football competition approaches.
