Dear Madam President: An Homage to Hillary Clinton and Her Iconic Pantsuit Style

With the US elections right around the corner, we’re talking less than 24 hours away, I can’t help but be in a political state of mind like the rest of the world. As a nonpolitical enthusiast and non-US Citizen, I’ve been thinking of creative ways to show support to my preferred candidate, the first-ever female presidential nominee (from a major political party, that is) and potential *fingers crossed* future President of the United States of America, Hillary Clinton, when it hit me – Aunty Hilz, as I “fondly” call her is a *bleeping* Style Icon! Hence this article.

Hillary Clinton has revolutionized the way we would forever see pantsuits. Her ability to incorporate a little bit of fun to the traditional sartorial pantsuit through colours and minimalistic accessorizing is genius. With her famous two-piece sets, Mama Hilz has shown us outfit inspirations for all kinds of women – especially the power dresser, the 9-5er and the formal event attendee. When she’s not playing matchy-matchy or trying every shade of the rainbow, the pantsuit connoisseur is slaying in traditional monochrome hues and a crisp white shirt.

Call me shallow, but I’d certainly trust a woman who knows her style with governing a country as fashion is full of options hence good decision making skills, boldness, girth and confidence are required when making tough choices from the ocean of options available when it comes to style and fashion. I mean, what more do you need from a president?

So before you formally address her as Madam President (do, it Lord! LOL), here’s to Hillary Clinton, her pantsuits and the hope that in another 36 hours, she’d be doing the “stylish pantsuit walk of power” into the White House.

You Go Ahead, Mama Hilz!
