10 Halloween Family Movies You Should Binge On This Season

halloween-family-movies-to-watch

It’s that time of the year again, and while you might feel too old to still go trick or treating, you can certainly still enjoy the season. However, don’t give me the: “Oh! I’m a parent now; where’s the fun in Halloween?” tale. Are you kidding me? Heck! You could even give your children the spookiest Halloween scare they would live to tell their children, then top it off with watching the best Halloween movies on Hulu or Netflix.

It’s also understandable that your energy level might not be up for some partying, especially considering the times, so why not trade it all for some spooky Halloween family movies? Get the ambiance right—a dark room, food, a blanket, and it’s “Hulu-ween” and chill time.

Check out 10 of the spookiest Halloween family movies to binge on this season…

#1. A Quiet Place 2 (2021)

An equally sinister sequel to the 2018 hit, A quiet place 2 stays true to the concept of the original version. However, this time, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. As they do, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

#2. Till Death (2021)

When they said ’till death do us part, Emma (Megan Fox) didn’t quite know what it meant until now. After a romantic evening in their secluded lakehouse, Emma awakens handcuffed to her dead husband. Trapped and isolated in the dead of winter, she must fight off hired killers to escape her husband’s twisted plan.

#3. Willy’s Wonderland (2021)

Willy’s Wonderland sees Nicolas Cage take on possessed animatronics mascots that roam the halls of an abandoned family fun center. The spookiness of this movie will certainly leave you chilled to the bone as you suspect every mascot of intended harm. Yes, SpongeBob included.

#4. Children Of The Corn (1984)

Whenever you peek at the name Stephen King, you’re sure to have a good watch. Yes, we know as children, adults were so annoying, but the children of this town took matters into their hands and murdered the adult population. This movie will definitely give you the chills.

#5. Tragedy Girls (2017)

Halloween family movies are usually scary and nothing more, but this particular one has a comedic vibe to it. We know the scramble for social media relevance is real, but these two friends go haywire and start murdering people in a guise to “solve” crime cases for a high engagement on their crime blog. Don’t believe me? Just watch.

#6. Friday The 13th (1980)

Line up on this classic horror movie series. It’s so scary it never gets old. Some sites are better left unopened; that’s the case, as an entrepreneur reopens camp crystal lake. It is blood spilling from here on. You could totally binge-watch these series all day long but don’t be surprised when you start seeing shadows where there are none.

#7. The Night Before Halloween (2016)

Poor Megan, just like most teens, taking part in a Halloween prank was just the goal, but so far, things aren’t going as planned for these pesky teenagers as a blood-thirsty being sought to destroy them a year later. What are Halloween family movies without pranks and spells?

#8. Parasite (2019)

If you didn’t watch this in 2019, now is a great time to do so. In this Korean horror movie, class discrimination strives to dominate a well-meaning relationship between a poor and wealthy family. Would greed win? Find out.

#9. Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest

In search of appropriate Halloween family movies, you could watch this with your little ones. Say no more. As the name implies, George got curious after getting wind of a scary scarecrow who steals hats. George and his friends go on an adventure in search of this scarecrow.

#10. Godzilla: King Of The Monsters (2019)

Halloween isn’t complete without a few creepy monsters. There’re countless Godzilla movies out there, so take your pick. After watching this version, it’ll literally kick-start your spooky journey. Follow suit as you binge right on the 1954 Godzilla movie to see how far technology has come. Then eeny-meeny your way through the rest.

I already feel goosebumps, do you? Happy Halloween!
