Go from Plain Jane to Slay Jane: How to Make Neutrals Work | Style Inspiration

Once upon a time they were bland dresses that hung in our wardrobes… Okay, I’ll cut the drama. Neutral coloured dresses used to be frown upon for being boring and pretty much dead against the skin. So we are all on the same page, neutral clothing come in colours like tan, beige, brown, camel, gray and the likes. They would typically come off as ‘plain Jane’ and even for me, it was a bad investment buying them. Ladies found it hard to make these colours pop because colour matches, styles, and accessories to work the look were pretty much a setback so for many fashionistas neutrals were a ‘style no no.’

Fast-forward to recent times and neutrals are making a ‘stand-out’ comeback. Many foreign and local designers are creating divine and interesting neutral lookbooks that incorporate intricate details and classy capsules. Fashionistas on the other hand are also adding the spice with the variety of ways they now rock this new found love.

Neutrals are now a must-have for any woman looking to claim her spot as a style star and with the classy vibe it easily inspires how can anyone not love it?
