Sisters Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey secured another bag after Crocs announced them as its newest ambassadors. In the video announcement, the Atlanta natives played TikTok’s viral This or That Challenge. The topics mentioned included preferences for pets, places to go, and clothes to wear. The short clip ended with the sisters choosing Crocs with or without socks.

The partnership represents one of the first collaborations featuring the sisters together since announcing they were pursuing solo endeavors. The duo is showing they can conquer anything they put their minds to, whether as solo artistes or together as sisters.

2. Burna Boy makes history after selling out London Stadium

Burna Boy has become the first African artiste to sell out a stadium in the United Kingdom after 60,000 fans came out to see him perform at the home of West Ham football club. The show, which was held on Saturday, June 3, is a historic one for Afrobeats as it captures not only Burna Boy’s meteoric rise to global stardom but also the fast rise of the genre. Burna Boy had earlier announced the show as part of the stops for his Love, Damini World Tour. The London Stadium concert comes as a great moment for fans and stakeholders in the Nigerian music industry who were glad to see Afrobeats go from selling out theaters to the O2, and now a stadium.

Burna Boy thrilled fans with a collection of his hit songs which the audience cheerfully sang along to. With this performance, the African Giant continues to set the pace as the artiste leading the international push of Afrobeats.

Four-time Grand Slam tennis champion, Naomi Osaka is partnering with Meta for a new, digital-only apparel line she designed for the Meta Avatars Store that will be available on Instagram, Messenger, Facebook, and in VR. “Being able to take trends from the real world and translate into the metaverse was really fun,” Osaka said in a press release. “Plus you can try a lot of new things when designing digitally—it’s all about pushing myself outside of the box.”

“To me, one of the most exciting parts is that digital apparel is much more accessible than luxury apparel in the real world. I can dress my avatar in whatever I want—there’s a lot more freedom and flexibility to have fun and experiment with looks and designs,” Osaka, 25, added. The digital collection will feature five looks that the champion described as “eclectic, unpredictable, yet comfortably cool.”

5. Zlatan Ibrahimovic announces his retirement from football at 41

Milan icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced his retirement from football at the age of 41. The striker announced to AC Milan fans that he will bow out of the game after they played their final game of the season against Hellas Verona on Sunday. Ibrahimovic was in tears in front of the San Siro crowd as he bid farewell to the club and called time on his glittering career. “The first time we arrived at Milan you gave me happiness, the second time you gave me love. From my heart I want to thank you fans,” he said. “You welcomed me with open arms, you made me feel at home. I will be a Milan fan for the whole. It’s time to say goodbye to football, not you.”

Milan announced last week that Ibrahimovic would be leaving the club at the end of what has been an injury-ravaged season for the forward. Despite his assertion that he would keep playing next season, this proves to be the end of his career. The ex-Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain star has made just four appearances this season, last featuring against Udinese on March 18.
