ights. Camera. Action! Last week, the Cannes Film Festival brought the stars out to play, and in response, they served sartorial cards which never declined. Meanwhile, over in Africa, the Fenty Beauty was met with high buzz as African celebrities and influencers stepped up to the occasion in unbridled glamour. These fashionable Black stars made a case for voluminous silhouettes, feathers, and of course, confidence. A pleasing sight to the eyes and pin-worthy looks for our mood boards.

Star girl Ciara was spotted on an outing with beau, Russell Wilson in a black Jean-Louis Sabaji column dress that featured a crystal-embellished chain-mail strapless bustier top paired. The show-stopping number was paired with black Jimmy Choo heels. Sometimes, less is indeed more.
Singer Cynthia Erivo might have broken a few necks in a two-toned custom Louis Vuitton piece as seen on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. The icing on this look was the simplistic jewelry she turned to in order to add a refreshing feel to the look. And yes, there’s no way we’ll forget her signature haircut that she gracefully rocked on the carpet. Nigerian international music sensation, Tiwa Savage stayed on course with the slay theme of the week in a dainty cut-out black dress with feather details by Nigerian brand, TUBO. The look was paired with a gold-tone Fendi purse and gold pumps. The neutral and metallic combo made the entire fit a worthy hit.
