The Best Beauty Looks Came With Some Sunshine

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Don’t you think? The lights are brighter and so are the smiles. Even the sun has begun to shine a little brighter. Last week, some of the most beautiful Black women brought a little sunshine to our Instagram with their makeup looks and hairstyles and we’ve curated the best for your inspiration.

“She sprouted love like flowers, grew a garden in her mind, and even on her darkest days, from her smile the sun still shined.”

~Erin Hanson

Makeup

Alicia Keys kicks off this week’s best beauty looks with the natural glow which she says comes from her skincare line, Keys Soul Care. It’s very hard to tell if she has any makeup on but it’s such a freshness that we want to be a part of.

Ethiopian-born model Bethlehem brought a touch of sunshine with her feathery earrings against a flawless skin work as done by LA-based makeup artist Andrea Samuels and captured by Domoshotme. There has been something major about mute makeup this entire year and we cannot deny, we love it! And why not? It’s such a functional beauty look––stays perfect right under your mask!

Hair

One half of the Mafikizolo duo, Nhlanhla Nciza is serving us sunshine in a pretty bright dress all the way from South Africa. The singer came adorned in a sweet smile with her full straight hair an a makeup look perfect for almost any occasion. Indeed, black is beautiful!

We also loved the long wavy, Afro-textured hair on model Acacia McBride. It’s such a rich look for your natural hair blow out. Her face is always a serve so nothing new here but it’s the light work on the eyebrows for us with her makeup.

There is even more sunshine! The best inspiration for black women makeup looks.
