Last Week’s Best Beauty Looks Put The Bs in Bold, Black Beauty

It’s Black History Month again, a time to celebrate our rich heritage as we dig deeper into the archives of black essence. The wonder in our melanin, the beauty of our resilience and our persistent fight for equality––these are some of what define black beauty and strength. Last week, the best beauty looks on black celebrities and influencers were definitely in line with these elements.

Hair

At this rate, it is safe to say that Chloe Bailey now owns Instagram and rightly so! Since the sisters from the singing duo, Chloe X Halle created separate Instagram accounts––reportedly because of their short time apart in different locations, Chloe has thrilled her fans with stunning photos and videos of herself having fun. This is definitely a refreshing side of the singer we haven’t see before. In our pick for the week, we absolutely love the deconstructed bun style she wore her locs in!

Fresh off her birthday, American singer, Alicia Keys is glowing as expected from all the love she received. Sharing a half shot of herself, the superstar left a caption that sent us into deep reflection but it was her hairstyle that first arrested our attention! In this updo, Alicia’s hair was braided just in the front and then tied together with the rest of her hair, sleeked into a ponytail. Hair goals anyone?

Makeup

The duo of wispy lashes and contoured face makeup on beauty model Souza is such a fierce look! While everything else is structured to perfection, its her eyes that really brings the whole look together.

When Beauty Blogger, Vanessa Gyimah said the category is FACE, we definitely could not argue! Her matte peach to brown smokey eye-do, adorned with metallic pearls on her eyelids just cemented her place as a true beauty creative.
