The anticipation surrounding 2021 has been matched by the fashion frenzy brought about by stars bringing exquisite fashion to life. From street style to BTS looks, African artists are already setting a high tempo for a year we’re all hoping will bring about a return to normalcy.

Last week, male celebrities across Africa made some serious statements with their outfits even as they owned their looks with grace and an amount of confidence that left us wowed.

For his debut on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” global artist and “African Giant,” Burna Boy looked killer in clothing pieces by French fashion label, Jacquemus. Going for a monotone look, he wore beige-colored pieces from head to toe. To give the ensemble a hip look, Burna layered a beige puffer jacket over a linen shirt and trousers, completing the look with a pair of matching Chelsea boots. The Grammy-nominated artist further accessorized with his go-to diamond encrusted wristwatch, a ring and a pair of blue-tinted sunglasses.

Over in Ghana, music artist King Promise looked tangy in a tangerine-colored two-piece outfit by upcoming Ghana-based fashion brand, Vigilante Force. For footwear, he went with a pair of black Doc Martens combat boots which added an edgy vibe to the otherwise simple outfit. He finished the look off with a pair of black sunglasses and a palpable confidence.

There was even more impressive style as the stars set the tone for year, playing by their own rules.
