“There’s something mysterious and daring about the Egyptian culture that sparked my curiosity. Symbolism was important in telling the story behind our SS16 collection” says designer Andrea Iyamah.
When it comes to swimwear designs, no one quite does it like Andrea Iyamah. With every new collection, the designer reinvests her brand by pushing the limits on what swimwear should look like. The “Finding Water” collection draws strong inspiration from Egypt as Andrea worked to incorporate the Arabian desert and pyramids into the brand’s first in-house made prints with the high-octane geometry, lines and angles in different bubbly colours. The makeup and hair was also done true to theme with exaggerated eyeliner reminisce of historic Egyptian beauty standards.
The shoot was directed and photographed by visual artist and photographer William Ukoh of Willy Verse.
