For the second time in one month, the Nigerian government denied on Monday, the insinuations that it had issued Fifth Generation (5G) mobile network licenses with the owners already deploying the mobile network in parts of the country.

Early last month, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, had issued a statement categorically saying no license had been issued for the deployment of 5G in the country.

Again, on Monday, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), unequivocally said: “there is no deployment of 5G in Nigeria at the moment.” He explained that the NCC, back in November 2019, approved trial test for 5G for a period of three (3) months and the trial has been concluded and installation decommissioned.

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Democratic Republic of Congo have passed the 1,000 mark with the capital, Kinshasa, being the hot spot of infections. The virus has now spread to seven out of the country’s 26 provinces.

The total confirmed cases are now 1,024, according to health authorities, Kinshasa accounting for 938 cases. The country reported its first case on 10 March. Both Houses of Parliament last week approved a second extension of the state of health emergency for another 15 days.

With the positive economic message he planned to make a centerpiece of his re-election campaign in ruins because of the coronavirus, Donald Trump has spent the last week trying to change the topic by working to demonize former President Barrack Obama, claiming his predecessor is the mastermind behind the Russia investigation that nearly ended his presidency.

Trump, however, isn’t about to let the facts get in the way of his narrative. He appeared to suggest on Sunday in a series of tweets that investigations of the Obama administration could be on the way. From Sunday through late Monday morning, Trump posted seven tweets or retweets about “OBAMAGATE,” which he proclaimed “makes Watergate look small-time!”

All of this comes on the heels of a leaked audio call last Friday in which Obama can be heard criticizing Trump’s handling of the coronavirus as “an absolute chaotic disaster,” while warning that Attorney General Barr’s unusual move to drop the case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn reflects how “our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.”

While the easy headlines coming into the WWE ‘Money In The Bank’ pay-per-view were focused on the annual ladder matches for the guaranteed championship contract, the highlights of the show instead turned out to be a pair of exceptionally good championship bouts.

Braun Strowman had his finest moment as universal champion, outlasting the challenge of Bray Wyatt and disposing of the sins of his past in the process, while Drew McIntyre held off the fierce efforts of Seth Rollins to hold on to his WWE championship in the match of the night.
