Phyno And Runtown On Gods Willing, MI Abaga + The Latest African Songs We’re Currently Loving

If you are a part of the #StyleRaveGeng (thanks to Mayorkun for the slang), then you know it is that time of the week when we bring you the latest African songs picking up steam. Music like many other things is how we connect with our roots and this week was another great one for music enthusiasts as many African artistes rolled out new music or music videos to their already trending songs.

Penthauze head honcho Phyno and Runtown released the music video to their single titled Gods Willing, MI Abaga launches new music label called Incredible Music and goes ahead to release his first EP tagged Judah The EP under his new label. This EP happens to be MI’s 10th studio project. Over in Ghana, Kwesi Arthur lends his voice to to address the political issues facing Ghana.

1. Phyno ft Runtown – Gods willing

Phyno finally releases the video from his fourth studio album in which he featured Runtown. The Gods Willing video which featured women dressed up in chic vintage outfits had Phyno rapping about the will of God in his life, him moving to the top and overcoming while Runtown did justice to the chorus.


2. MI Abaga ft Alpha Ojini – The Tribe

After 13 years with Chocolate City Music, MI Abaga heads out to form a new label which he called Incredible Music. With the new label comes Judah The EP which has a track titled The Tribe featuring Alpha Ojini who was once a fan. On The Tribe, MI can be heard delivering his line in what sounds like Trap music while Alpha feels elated to be part of the tribe.

3. Stonebwoy – African Party

Known as Ghanaian King of dancehall and reggae music, Stonebwoy takes his title up a notch with the release of African Party. Thisis his second single off his forthcoming album tagged Anloga Junction. We all know that any African Party is always lit!


4. Kwesi Arthur – Revolution sound

March 6 being Ghana’s Independence Day, Ground Up Chale award-winning rapper – Kwesi Arthur decided  to address political issues facing Ghana. He touched on issues like bribery, lack of employment, incompetent leadership amongst other. We love how socially conscious artists are becoming.

5. Mayorkun Geng

What Geng do you belong to? 2020 is not far spent but artists are already giving us slangs we can relate with. DMW’s Camp singer and songwriter, Mayorkun made us choose our Geng at the start of the decade and he has gone on to release the official music video of his anthemic hit single tiled Geng.
