Halloween, which takes place on October 31, happens to be the spookiest time of the year and some of our favorite celebrities always hold nothing back when it comes to preparing their costumes. If you have been watching others have all the fun, Halloween 2019 is the perfect time to get into the culture with celebrity-inspired costumes.
A little history on this spooky holiday:
According to History.com, “Halloween’s origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. The Celts, who lived over 2,000 years ago, mostly in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.”
No matter how hard you work all through the year, Halloween gives you the perfect opportunity to let loose and escape reality for just one night. Gone are the days when dressing up for Halloween meant looking crazy and scary. Today, you can decide which movie or popular character you want to look like and easily buy the appropriate costume. So Halloween is the perfect time to look just like that celebrity you have admired all year long.
Celebrities themselves often serve Halloween costumes that represent their favorite movie or pop culture characters and we are expecting that for 2019, the bar will be further raised.
Most Hollywood celebs sure know how to make the most of their Halloween costumes so it doesn’t really matter who you look up to for inspiration.
