Three generations of the Jenners are fashionably fierce as they cover the July/August edition of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. This also happens to be the 17-months-old Stormi Webster’s accidental first magazine cover because Daz how stars do!
The issue which focuses on the “Art of Power” had the mothers talk about motherhood, female empowerment and being the dream team as they work together as a family.
The shoot was originally for Kris and Kylie but with Kylie at the helm of directing a particular scene, she whipped out a Dolce & Gabanna leopard print dress for Stormi. This matched the Dolce & Gabanna leopard print outfits she and Kris had on and voila! a three-generational cover was made.
According to Kylie,
“When I became a mother, my perspective on life completely changed, and so did how I look at my own mum and appreciate all the things that she’s done for me. Now I can understand the way that she feels about me, the way that she loves me, and how strong her love is for all her kids, because of how obsessed I am with Stormi.”
Here’s what Kris had to say,
“We’ve always been very connected emotionally and spiritually and have this incredibly strong bond. But I think as we both get older, our relationship shifts a bit. And for me, I just want her to know that I’m always here to guide her and help her with whatever she needs, rather than it always being, you know, the way it used to be back in the day. Our relationship changes every few years.”
Kris and Kylie Jenner who are also huge role models for Arab women had nothing but positive messages for them. Kris wants these women to surround themselves with people who make them better versions of themselves. She said,
“Kylie and I have a bond that we are very blessed with and we really make the best out of every single day. We’re also lucky enough to work in the beauty business, and I think so many women in the Middle East who have written to us and are fans of the show, they always have such wonderful things to say. But the message is very clear that women there are extremely interested in beauty. That’s really exciting for me! Something that I learnt from my mother is that it’s really about how you present yourself to the world. Loving yourself and your family makes for an ageless experience. Sometimes I simply don’t feel 63 years old. And I think it’s all about who I surround myself with and how I put myself together. You feel good from the inside out.”
Kylie Jenner, on the other hand, wants these women to follow their dreams as she is an ardent believer of female empowerment.
“I really believe in female empowerment, but I want to inspire all people – no matter what age or gender – that you can succeed. I love inspiring people to start working a lot harder at a young age. Follow your dreams, you’re never too young. Mentally, for me, I try not to focus so much on being a role model and still be myself. But I do understand how many young women look up to me and that I have to think about everything that I put on the internet, or what example I want to set for my daughter. Especially now that I’ve had her, I think about that a lot more.”
Kylie Jenner ends the interview by crediting her mum for the success of Kylie Cosmetics as she comes with the creativity and Kris brings her business mind. Together, they make the dream team or like Generation Z says: #motherdaughtergoals!
