Our Favourite Male Celebrities Gave Black An Edge Last Week

When it comes to cosmopolitan fashion and style, Nigerian male celebrities and influencers have stepped up to the game and are quenching our thirsts with fresh dapper looks. With another week gone by, we’re looking back at the boldest and most fashionable casual and formal looks spotted on some of the most popular men in the Nigerian fashion scenes.

Black, in whatever shade of it, is a colour most people consider as basic. As a neutral colour, most men just try to pull it off in a basic and minimal way. People hardly attempt to put a lot of thought into making it really edgy but not last week. Black was the order of the week and some of our favourite male celebrities and influencers pulled it off with a lot of gusto and swagger.

While monochrome black is a vibe by itself, adding colours to an all-black outfit can take it from “nice” to “wow.” This is exactly what fashion influencer Akin Faminu did with the splash of colours on his jacket while rapper Lil Kesh and top stylist Swanky Jerry limited their colour pop to their shoes to keep distractions away from the utility jacket and mesh top respectively.

DJ Spinall held it down for the culture as he served looks in a box patterned contemporary kaftan set coordinating the look with his signature hat.

From D’banj’s yellow scarf to Timaya’s slouchy style, check out how Nigerian men gave black an edge last week…
