10 Of The Most Memorable MET Gala Looks

Since 1948, the red carpet comes alive every first Monday in May for the Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball. Celebrities do their best to look the part as dictated by the theme for the annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.

The theme every year is different and so are the costumes we get to see. From Fashion Plate” in 1971-1972 to “Dance” in 1986-1987 and “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” in 2018, Hollywood celebrities have never failed to bring it on! For 2019, the theme is Camp: Notes on Fashion” and we are looking forward to seeing what memorable looks the MET Gala red carpet would offer.
