The royal baby finally arrived yesterday and congratulations have been flying from across the universe to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who couldn’t be more delighted to be parents. With his arrival, Baby Sussex becomes 7th in line to the British throne, directly behind his dad. He is also the first British-American baby born into the royal family! Asides this, we’ve got a Baby Sussex update as he’s broken another major contemporary record.

Baby Sussex broke social media history as news of his arrival accumulated one million likes in less than an hour on his parents relatively new Instagram account. The post now has more than 2.7 million likes, the most like on any royal account.

In case you don’t have every detail of what’s known about the latest royal, we’ve got you covered!

Want to know more about our the royal baby?

Here are 5 things you should know about Baby Sussex…

Time: Baby Sussex was born Monday, May 6 at exactly 5:26 a.m. London time which is currently the same as Nigerian time. According to CNN weather, the baby was born exactly one minute after sunrise!

Where: It was reported that Meghan and Prince Harry initially wanted the home birthing option. However, with the birth of Baby Sussex, Buckingham Palace has revealed that the location of the Duchess’ delivery is “private.”

Weight: The “bouncing baby boy” like Nigerians are wont to say, weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. That’s an estimated 3.3kg. Now, in my opinion, that’s a big baby!

What Prince Harry has to say: For Prince Harry, this is his first birth experience and he is simply wowed! I mean, which father wouldn’t be after watching his wife go through the experience.

According to him,

“How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, but we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there. I’m so incredibly proud of my wife. As every father and parent would say, your baby is absolutely amazing. But this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”

What does Baby Sussex look like: Well, stay glued to our page as Baby Sussex will not be ready for the world to see him till maybe Wednesday. Fair enough! Even though the mother and child are doing good, they also need time to get ready for the cameras.
