Arise Fashion Week 2019 took off on Friday, April 19 with a good number of emerging and eminent brands showcasing their designs on what’s been hailed as “the most beautiful runway in Africa.” The venue was the Lagos Continental Hotel in Victoria Island as London-based brand, Tokyo James lit up the runway in a range of vibrant designs.
Tokyo James truly embodies Spring in his 2019 collection. Tackling his signature white and colourful swirly patterns, the entire room came alive as his models made their way down the runway. From the spectacular tailoring showmanship to the flawless styling everything came together to give an impressive presentation.
For the men, the collection contained uncommon designs of biker jackets, blazers and trench coats in bold tones and luxurious fabrics. There were also leather duffle bags that beautifully complemented the sporty looks. For the women, asymmetric shirt dresses, cut-outs and plush power suits ruled the runway.
Tokyo James made a strong case for unusual Spring style with his collection at Arise Fashion Week and we for sure love every bit of it.
