This will be the first time the brand would be creating a role such as this and with his 17+ years experience in strategy, branding and marketing, Emeka Obi is definitely qualified for the role.
According to Fashion Network, Elaine Chang, President of Tibi revealed the following:

Emeka has his finger on the pulse of what makes people tick because of his diverse experience and his curiosity. We look forward to his contributions to Tibi.”
Emeka Obi describes himself as “a creative with a profound awareness of the new and the next. Actively engaged in culture from pop to progressive with the astute knowledge of the intersection between culture and commerce.”
He further describes himself as a notable “music manager with a knack for bringing obscure artists to prominence using branding and social media tools as well as a distinct knowledge of the industry and the audience.”
It’s great to see more Nigerians and Africans ascending to high-level executive positions at top global fashion companies.
