British Academy Film Awards 2019: Prince William And Duchess Kate, Rave-worthy Looks + Winners List

Over in London, the red carpet was rolled out Sunday night, February 10th, as homegrown stars and others from across the Atlantic stepped out for the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) 2019. As expected, the stars brought their sartorial A-game to the awards event which was held at the Royal Albert Hall.

This year’s event, which was hosted by Joanna Lumley, saw a little splash of colours but dark tones were still the preferred choice – much like last year when a majority of celebrities wore black in solidarity with the Time’s Up / Me Too movement.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in attendance, with the Duchess, Kate Middleton leading this year’s best-dressed list in a one-shoulder Alexander Wang dress. Kate was adorned in a pair of beautiful pearl and diamond drop earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana and glittery pointy courts by Jimmy Choo. Her makeup was heavier than normal but was well balanced out and her hair was pulled back in an angular bun to show off her earrings. The Duke, however, was predictably simple in a black suit, also from Alexander Wang.

Other stars in attendance included Regina King, Lily Collins, Bradley Cooper, Thandie Newton, Maya Jama, Cate Blanchett, Laura Harrier, Mary J. Blige, Margot Robbie, Letitia Wright, Rami Malek, Irina Shayk, Timothée Chalamet, Viola Davis, Mahershala Ali, Luke Evans and a host of others.
