The British Fashion Council (BFC) which was rebranded to the Fashion Awards in 2016 – celebrates the best of creativity and innovation in fashion, recognising exceptional individuals, brands and businesses across the globe. For 2018, the Awards partnered with Swarovski for a night of celebrating fashion’s best on Monday, 10th December, at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

According to their website:

“The BFC is a not-for-profit organisation, whose aim is to support sustainable growth for the sector, with wide-ranging activities which include charitable initiatives that support educational programmes and scholarships through to financial and mentoring awards for emerging talent.”

The Fashion Awards 2018 which saw Gucci take home Brand of the Year and Kaia Gerber crowned Model of the Year, had the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle make a surprise appearance to present her wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, with the British Womenswear Designer of the Year award.

As with every red carpet event, it was a super stylish affair. From the host, Alek Wek gracing the red carpet in a mini black dress with a pink oversized bow to Kendall Jenner, who stunned in a nude glittery dress and the beautifully pregnant Meghan Markle in a custom-made one-shoulder Givenchy dress, it was truly a night for exquisite fashion and style!
