Nigerian’s got style and that includes our tribal kings and rulers. The former chairman of the Central Bank of Nigeria who’s now the honourable Emir of Kano, Emir Lamido Sanusi was recently pictured wearing a gold spikes Louboutin shoes which retails for well over $1000. His son shared the photo and captioned it “#Louboutin” while his daughter wrote “We rock Louboutin.” A lot of Nigerians found the show of extravagance offensive considering how tough the economy is at the moment and how so many in the Emir’s immediate community barely have food to eat.
What do you think about the Emirs Loubou? Is he well within his rights to wear a luxury pair of shoes?
