As always, the Golden Globes red carpet is the first major fashion moment every year and it usually sets the tone for the rest of the year. This year, celebrities all decided to wear black as a statement to honour victims and protest against sexual harassment and gender inequality in Hollywood. Some of them went further to wear a pin-up stating ‘Time’s Up’.
The colour code didn’t stop the ladies from bringing their best to the red carpet. Although it was a bad night for designers looking to have their names dropped on the red carpet. Rather than asking, “What are you wearing,” red carpet hosts asked, “Why are you wearing black?” The red carpet looks were truly refreshing as there was more emphasis on silhouette, trim and details.
